Walgreen Co. owes nearly $1 billion for use of 'PWNHealth' trademark

( February 10, 2025, 10:10 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: US Judge Richard Andrews of the District of Delaware refused to set aside an $802 million award of disgorged profits under the Lanham Act in connection with Walgreen’s practice during the summer of 2021 of diverting test orders and results to its in-house pharmacists while still utilizing the “PWNHealth” trademark. In the same ruling, Andrews left intact the award by arbitrator David Brodsky of $83.4 million for Walgreen’s breach of contract and $101,549,750 in prejudgment interest. That leaves Walgreen on the hook for $987.6 million. See attached document....
