Six arrested in Europol probe into international investment fraud

( February 12, 2025, 16:09 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Six people have been arrested following an investigation into investment fraud and money laundering carried out by authorities in France, Spain and Israel, with support from Europol. The fraud was initially discovered in France after a victim reported a renewable energy investment scam to the French Gendarmerie and the investigation later revealed a sophisticated criminal infrastructure and additional victims, Europol said.
