The Delhi High Court ordered the blocking of several infringing websites that Star India alleged were causing significant financial losses and irreparable harm by diverting viewers from its official platforms like Disney+ Hotstar. Star India asserted the apps were infringing its intellectual property rights, depriving it of revenue and enabling widespread piracy of its content, including live sports, movies and TV shows.
