Manufacturers association supports ban of US FTC noncompete rule at appeals court
( February 10, 2025, 21:06 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: A US Federal Trade Commission rule banning noncompete agreements nationwide was properly vacated by a Texas federal court, the National Association of Manufacturers said in an amicus brief to the US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. The lower court correctly blocked a rule that would have “seriously damaged innovation in the manufacturing sector” by determining the agency exceeded its statutory authority, and the ban was arbitrary and capricious, the association said.See attached document....
