BlackBerry’s EU trademark loses scope but secured for automotive software

The former smartphone producer announced a rebrand of its IoT division last month focused on providing technology to the automotive industry. The EUIPO Opposition Division upheld the trademark for identical and closely related goods but dismissed it for other goods and services.BlackBerry Limited secured a partial victory defending its “Neutrino” trademark from the European Union Intellectual Property Office.
