Meta documents might reveal crime, fraud in AI copyright case, US judge says

By Amy Miller ( February 11, 2025, 01:52 GMT | Insight) -- Meta Platforms is facing multiple discovery issues in a closely watched copyright case filed by US authors after a US judge said internal documents from the company might reveal either crime or fraud. US District Judge Vince Chhabria in San Francisco is weighing whether the internal documents show any criminal or fraudulent activity that would eliminate Meta’s right to keep them confidential.
