Google seeks to dismiss US copyright case over AI training

( January 17, 2025, 23:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Google moved to dismiss a consolidated US class action complaint accusing it of using stolen web-scraped data to develop its artificial intelligence products. “This court ordered the parties to meet and confer over plaintiffs’ consolidated amended complaint, and specifically directed plaintiffs to ‘make substantial good-faith efforts to address the issues Google raised at the conference and in prior motions to dismiss.’ Unfortunately, that process yielded little change or improvement in plaintiffs’ relevant allegations,” it said.
