Australian review of Mérieux NutriSciences-Bureau Veritas AsureQuality deal placed on hold

( February 7, 2025, 01:25 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Food safety-testing services provider Mérieux NutriSciences’ bid to acquire 51 percent of Bureau Veritas AsureQuality is on hold in Australia, less than a month after the country’s competition regulator launched a review into the deal. In a website entry, the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission said it had stopped the clock on the probe, while it assessed further information provided by the companies.
