Hurom granted final response in UPC juicer patent case

( February 6, 2025, 09:24 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Hurom, a maker of juicers, must submit a final written statement strictly addressing new infringement arguments raised by defendants NUC and Warmcook, according to the Unified Patent Court. The Paris Local Division ruled that Hurom’s previous rejoinder included inadmissible arguments on infringement and remedies, as the defendants had the last word on these issues under the procedural rules. However, since the defendants introduced new points in their rejoinder, the court granted Hurom a limited opportunity to respond, followed by a brief reply from the defendants. The dispute concerns Hurom’s EP 3,155,936, one which it asserts has been infringed by NUC and Warmcook. The two kitchen-product suppliers have counterclaimed for revocation. The written procedure will close after this final exchange, with an interim conference scheduled for March 11.See court document attached....
