Baronius Press beats sanctions bid by accused copyright infringer in US

( February 4, 2025, 10:10 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: A stipulation last year by Baronius Press that one version of an English translation of the 1950s German religious work Grundriss der katholischen Dogmatik was not reproduced online by Faithlife Corporation does not extinguish Baronius's copyright infringement claim, a US judge ruled.  Because Baronius asserts a right to “an English-language edition” of Grundriss, the claim could also encompass an English translation by Patrick Lynch several years after Grundriss was first published, according to the court.See attached document....
