Cyberattack on Japan's Aoki Holdings subsidiary potentially exposes data of 7 million users

( January 28, 2025, 08:48 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Japan’s Aoki Holdings announced today that its subsidiary, Kaikatsu Frontier, which operates Internet cafes and fitness gyms, experienced unauthorized access to its servers in a cyberattack. The breach may have compromised the data of nearly 7.3 million members, including the names and transaction details of Kaikatsu Club members and provisional members. Aoki reported the incident to the Personal Information Protection Commission today and is in the process of notifying affected individuals while assessing the impact of the breach.
