Touchlight Genetics sinks ex-officer’s bid for joint patent inventorship in UK

In a ruling handed down today, UK High Court Judge Michael Tappin rejected the position advanced by Dr. Vanessa Hill that the TGL’s patents include subject matter that falls outside the scope of their agreement. But even if it did, Tappin ruled, Hill failed to stake her claim to the inventions in time.Touchlight Genetics Ltd., or TGL, has successfully defeated a bid by its former chief scientific officer for co-inventorship of three European patents....
