EU has alternatives to gas price cap extension, commission says

In a speech to the World Economic Forum, the commission chief Ursula von der Leyen mentioned clean energy as the “mid-term answer” to bring down energy prices and boost competitiveness.Europe’s high energy prices can be addressed by other means than extending emergency measures such as the gas “price cap,” the European Commission’s energy spokesperson Anna-Kaisa Itkonen said....
