US Steel, Nippon Steel motion to expedite monopolization suit denied by US judge
( January 17, 2025, 19:47 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: US Steel, Nippon Steel and Nippon Steel North America's motion to expedite proceedings over claims that Cleveland-Cliffs and United Steelworkers Union engaged in an anticompetitive and unlawful agreement was denied by a US federal judge today. In an order, US District Judge Marilyn J. Horan denied the motion as "premature." Defendants have been asked to file their motions-to-dismiss before Feb. 4.
