Apple suspends generative AI news summaries worldwide amid media pressure

The Apple Intelligence feature had been generating incorrect news summaries pushed to users as notifications from news apps on their Apple devices.Apple has initiated the worldwide suspension of a feature in its Apple Intelligence offering, stopping its AI-generated summaries of notifications from news and entertainment apps. The UK's biggest broadcaster had complained to the tech company after the service generated fake news which looked to be coming from the outlet itself. A journalism union intends to take the matter to Parliament....
