Synopsys-Ansys merger moves toward UK approval as regulator mulls offer

By Jon Menon ( January 8, 2025, 12:04 GMT | Insight) -- Synopsys has moved closer to gaining UK antitrust approval for its $35 billion buyout of Ansys after the antitrust regulator said that planned divestments may be sufficient to ease its competition concerns.
