Paul McCartney wins $14M default judgment in ‘Schedule A’ trademark suit

( January 6, 2025, 17:06 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Paul McCartney’s rights-holding company MPL Communications was granted default judgment against 14 defendants in a so-called “Schedule A” trademark suit, totaling $14 million in statutory damages. MPL sued the online retailers in October in the Southern District of Florida over knock-off merchandise bearing McCartney’s name. Default judgment also grants MPL all revenues from merchandise sales frozen in online marketplace accounts and shuts down the defendant shops.See the order attached....
