Woolworths seeks to acquire frozen food supplier Beak & Johnston in New Zealand

In a statement today, the New Zealand Commerce Commission said that while Woolworths sells a range of branded ready-to-eat meals and slow-cooked meats through its outlets in the country, it doesn't manufacture any grocery products in New Zealand. The regulator said that Beak & Johnston manufactures and supplies a range of products including chilled and frozen ready-to-eat meals and slow-cooked meats through manufacturing facilities in New Zealand and Australia.
