South Korea unveils strategies to boost AI use in distribution industry

( December 27, 2024, 01:10 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: South Korea announced strategies to help the local distribution industry improve efficiency through the increased adoption of artificial intelligence in key business processes. Under these strategies, the government will assist local businesses in the distribution industry in raising the AI utilization rate to 30 percent over the next three years, up from less than 3 percent currently. The increased use of AI is expected to help logistics businesses reduce inventory management costs by 20 percent, shorten delivery times by 10 percent and lower overall delivery costs by 20 percent, according to the ministry. These strategies were unveiled as part of the ministry's commitments, announced when it launched the AI Industrial Policy Committee in May 2024.The statement, in Korean, is attached....
