US HSR Act filings fell to normal levels in FY23

The 2023 Hart-Scott-Rodino report, released in October by the US Federal Trade Commission, indicated a total of 1,805 transactions reported, the fourth lowest number in the past decade. Premerger notification filings under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act dropped significantly in the 2023 fiscal year to more normal levels, but a flurry of action could be on the horizon....
