NanoString fails to secure release of EUR300,000 legal costs deposit in UPC dispute

( December 18, 2024, 10:37 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: NanoString Technologies Europe Limited’s application to release a 300,000-euro security for legal costs has been rejected by the Munich Central Division of the Unified Patent Court, in its revocation action against the President and Fellows of Harvard College over EP 2,794,928-B1. NanoString argued that its financial stability had improved after its acquisition by Bruker Corporation, and that the reasons for the security order no longer existed. The court found that NanoString had failed to substantiate its own financial position independently of Bruker. While rejecting the application, the court granted leave to appeal to ensure consistent interpretation of the UPC Rules of Procedure.See court document attached....
