Algo transparency reports issued by UK government departments

( December 17, 2024, 17:26 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: UK government departments and public bodies have complied with requirements to publish reports against the Algorithmic Transparency Recording Standard, revealing how they use AI in public services. The technology ministry has published the reports from 14 bodies spanning the Home Office, the Foreign Office, the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Defence. The government has also confirmed that central government organizations will publish a record for any tool that “interacts directly with citizens or significantly influences decisions made about people, unless a narrow set of exemptions apply such as national security,” according to the release.Statement follows:...
