( December 16, 2024, 23:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: California Crane School asked a US appeals court to revive its antitrust claims against Google and Apple regarding the default search engine on the iPhone and other Apple devices. “The district court had ruled plaintiff’s allegations of anticompetitive agreements between Google and Apple ‘implausible’ notwithstanding plaintiff’s numerous specific factual allegations of the Apple and Google agreements made in the [second amended complaint] and notwithstanding plaintiff’s offer of proof of written documentation, made by motion to supplement the record and to set aside judgment, of the actual, physical written agreements between Apple and Google that had at the time only then been recently made public through the testimony and in the exhibits offered in the trial of US v.
