UPC overrules request to extend deadline in automotive patent dispute

( December 13, 2024, 14:45 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Valeo Electrification's bid to extend the deadline for submitting its reply to the statement of defense, and defense to the counterclaim for revocation, has been rejected by the Unified Patent Court. The Düsseldorf Local Division has set Jan. 14, 2025 as the deadline for these filings. The UPC found that there were no exceptional circumstances to justify any further delay, as Valeo had already been aware of much of the defendants' arguments from previous proceedings.See court document attached....
