European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said that the partnership will save EU exporters 4 billion euros annually. However, she must now address internal opposition led by France over environmental clauses and unfair competition — a key concern for the bloc's farming sector.The EU and Mercosur are on the brink of creating one of the world’s largest markets, covering over 700 million people, after announcing today an agreement on their trade deal after 25 years of negotiations (see here)....
