In US trade secret row with ex-broker, firm wins expedited discovery but no TRO

( November 28, 2024, 10:10 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: A brokerage firm has not demonstrated it is likely to succeed on the merits of trade secret misappropriation claims against a former broker who parted ways with the plaintiff in October.  According to Citizens Securities, defendant Armin Hrncic took one-sixth of his clients with him to Ameriprise Financial Services.  Although denying Citizens a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction to maintain the status quo while the parties await Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, or FINRA, arbitration, US Magistrate Judge Anthony P. Patti of the Eastern District of Michigan agreed to expedite discovery in the case.See attached document....
