EU’s draft AI-model code of practice to be discussed on Dec. 11

The chairs and vice-chairs spearheading the drafting process will be invited to attend just as they will be about to finalize a second draft. A meeting with the new EU digital chief, Henna Virkkunen, has been postponed to January, whereas the parliamentarians will define the work program for the next six months on Dec. 4.Members of the European Parliament intend to weigh in on the discussions around the EU’s code of practice on general-purpose AI models, which is meant to provide a critical compliance tool for companies such as Meta, OpenAI and Anthropic....
