EU-China talks on alternative to EV duties stuck over key differences

Despite progress, the two sides remain at odds over minimum import price levels and rules to eliminate the risk of cross-compensation. The EU imposed duties of up to 35.3 percent on imports of China-made battery electric cars in late October but has continued talks on how carmakers could potentially avoid them.EU trade negotiators left the last round of talks with China on an alternative to hefty anti-subsidy duties on Chinese electric vehicles with key "unresolved issues," MLex has learned....
