Anthropic publishes voluntary commitments hub in effort to spur standard-setting dialogue

The commitments hub is Anthropic's effort to “Walk the walk when you talk the talk,” its policy chief said, saying the voluntary effort could be the start of standard-setting for providers. The commitments hub includes Anthropic's promises on risk assessment and mitigation, security and privacy, and public awareness issues, which refers specifically to the development of international technical standards and practices.Anthropic has quietly published a list of 72 voluntary generative AI commitments, asking other AI companies and the larger AI community to provide feedback, in what an executive described as the potential start of an AI industry standard for risk assessment, privacy, abusive imagery, and trust and safety practices....
