Mexican president suggests dialogue in response to Trump tariff threat

( November 26, 2024, 17:35 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum will be sending a letter to US President-elect Donald Trump in response to Trump's threat, posted on his social media platform Truth Social, to impose a 25 percent tariff on all Mexican and Canadian goods in response to immigration and fentanyl trafficking. At a press conference, Sheinbaum said she will propose that the US and Mexico work together to deal with problems associated with immigration and drug trafficking, and warns Trump that imposing tariffs on Mexico could lead to retaliatory tariffs on the US.See attached document....
