Fujifilm’s request to submit additional pleadings in Kodak patent dispute dismissed

( November 25, 2024, 14:35 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Düsseldorf Local Division of the Unified Patent Court has dismissed Fujifilm's request to submit additional pleadings in response to Kodak’s allegations of prior use of patent. The disputed European patent 3,594,009 B1 relates to the use of lithographic printing plate technology. The court declared Fujifilm's request admissible as it met the procedural requirements, but dismissed it saying a further written submission would cause unnecessary delays. The court emphasized that the risk of delay outweighed Fujifilm's interest in presenting additional arguments in writing, and noted that oral submissions at the hearing could still be used to address the issues.The document is attached. ...
