UPC rules in favor of Plant-e in patent dispute with Bioo over microbial fuel cells

( November 22, 2024, 16:36 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Unified Patent Court’s Local Division in The Hague has ruled in favor of Plant-e, finding that Arkyne Technologies SL — better known as Bioo — infringed European Patent 2,137,782 concerning plant-based microbial fuel cells. The court upheld the patent's validity and dismissed Bioo's counterclaims of invalidity and non-infringement. The UPC found that Bioo’s products infringed the patent and ordered it to cease infringement, recall and destroy infringing products, pay provisional damages of 35,000 euros, and provide Plant-e with detailed sales data.The document is attached. ...
