( November 22, 2024, 11:56 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Spreadex must sell Sporting Index to remedy potential harm to competition in the market for licensed online sports spread betting services, the UK competition regulator has said. The Competition and Markets Authority raised monopoly concerns following an in-depth probe of the deal, which saw Spreadex acquire the "business-to-consumer'" business of Sporting Index from Sporting Group Holding. Spreadex and Sporting Index both provide sports fixed odds betting and sports spread betting services to UK customers.Statement follows....
