Panasonic wins UPC backing in 4G patent dispute against OPPO

( November 22, 2024, 12:14 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Unified Patent Court's Mannheim Court of First Instance ruled in favor of Panasonic and ordered OPPO to cease sales, recall products, pay damages, and disclose sales data in a dispute regarding standard-essential European patent 2,568,724 related to 4G Internet. Panasonic claimed OPPO infringed the patent through their 4G-enabled devices and sought damages, injunctions, and destruction of infringing products. OPPO countered with a patent invalidation claim and a fair, reasonable and non-discriminatory, or Frand, counterclaim, which the court dismissed. The ruling is attached in German. ...
