Align Technology says US settlement with consumers possible with retainer, aligner coupons

( November 12, 2024, 19:17 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Align Technology told a US judge coupons on its Vivera and Invisalign products helped it "bridge the gap" in settlement talks with SmileDirectClub consumers, and that the coupons are both procompetitive and value-adds to class members. Align did not offer the coupons to increase its own sales, but to defray the cost of remedial orthondontic treatment SDC customers may face, the defendant said in a response renewing its support for preliminary settlement approval. Neither coupon implicates the Court's competition concerns and would have a negligible impact on Align's sales, the filing to the Northern District of California said.See attached file....
