Chinese PV maker Wuxi Suntech loses EU court appeal of removal from price agreement

( November 20, 2024, 10:18 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Solar-panel maker Wuxi Suntech today lost its appeal at the bloc's first-tier court where it was challenging the European Commission for removing the company from the 2013 minimum import-price agreement with China. As a result of the decision, its products became subject to EU trade measures. In a judgment delivered today, the EU's General Court fully dismissed the appeal after rejecting Wuxi Suntech's claims that the commission relied on powers that had expired or that had been revoked. The judgment is attached.
