UK telecoms industry reaches agreement with government on digital switchover duties

Major telecom companies, including BT, Virgin Media, Vodafone, and Sky, met with telecoms minister Chris Bryant and agreed to new safeguards that will affect around two million people. This includes the new requirement for companies to offer an engineer to visit vulnerable customers and test whether the alarm continues functioning after the transition.
