Homie Technology opposes dismissal of US antitrust claims against NAR, brokerages

( November 15, 2024, 17:25 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Homie Technology filed an opposition to dismissal of its US antitrust claims against the National Association of Realtors and several real estate brokerages, saying the defendants' claim they can't be held responsible for the conduct of their Utah-based affiliates impermissibly ignores their role in the anticompetitive scheme. The defendants ignore that they "instructed and bound their Utah affiliates to adopt, implement, and enforce NAR's [exclusionary rules and policies], which makes the Defendants responsible for the foreseeable results of that conduct," the filing to the US District of Utah said. Homie has plausibly alleged timely Sherman Act, Clayton Act and Utah Antitrust Act violations, along with antitrust injury and tortious interference, it said....
