EU legislation reforming design laws formally adopted in Official Journal

( November 18, 2024, 11:59 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The EU has adopted its legislative package reforming laws on design and product protection. The changes reflect technological advancements since the 2002 legal framework, and amendments expand the purview to cover digital and 3D printed designs. The changes also ensure alignment with the bloc's 2016 Trade Mark Regulation. The regulation on community designs will come into effect in four months from today's publication, and EU countries have 36 months to transpose the directive on the legal protection of designs into national law.See the EU Official Journal publications attached....
