US District Judge David Hittner of the Southern District of Texas stopped short of enforcing a noncompete agreement against Michael Mapes, however, characterizing it as an “overbroad industry wide exclusion.”Bestway Oilfield, an equipment provider in the fracking industry, was awarded nearly all preliminary injunctive relief it asked for when a US judge in Texas yesterday said Bestway is likely to succeed on the merits of its claim that Michael Mapes violated the Defend Trade Secrets Act....
