AI model providers see draft EU code of practice on copyright, transparency compliance

The draft is expected to become more specific based on stakeholder input. Still, it provides an initial indication of where compliance measures for AI model providers are heading, notably on the thorny issue of copyright where controversy is to be expected on the extraterritoriality issue and a new exemption for smaller businesses.The European Commission’s AI Office has published the first draft of the code of practice for general-purpose AI model providers like OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google (see here)....
