Iliad loses EU court challenge of TIM-Vodafone towers combination

( November 13, 2024, 10:18 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Italian telecom operator Iliad has lost its EU court appeal against the European Commission's decision to approve a mobile towers joint venture between Vodafone and Telecom Italia with conditions. The EU General Court rejected Iliad's argument that the commitments accepted by the regulator didn't clearly define what space Vodafone and TIM must make available on their towers to rival operators. The court also rejected Iliad's argument that the remedies didn't protect rivals against potential "bias" when selecting sites.The judgment is attached....
