DSV receives Indian merger approval to acquire Schenker Aktiengesellschaft

( November 13, 2024, 01:43 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Global transport and logistics group DSV has received merger clearance from the Indian antitrust watchdog for its acquisition of another global freight forwarding and logistics company, Schenker Aktiengesellschaft, for 14.3 billion euro. The Competition Commission of India cleared the proposed transaction, according to a statement issued on Tuesday evening. DSV had in its merger filing told the CCI that the acquisition would not raise any competition concerns, irrespective of how the relevant markets are defined and will not lead to any change in the competitive landscape in any market in India. The acquisition vehicle, DSV Holding Germany, incorporated under the laws of Germany, does not carry out any operating activities in India or anywhere else in the world, and is ultimately wholly owned and solely controlled by the parent company, DSV.
