The Spanish politician appeared before the European Parliament for a confirmation hearing as a member of the incoming European Commission, responsible for competition policy.Fostering "European champions" won't be put ahead of protection for fair competition on the European market, the nominee to head EU competition policy told European lawmakers this evening....
