Cryptocurrency on the agenda at South Pacific financial-crime meeting in Australia

( November 12, 2024, 02:47 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Law-enforcement and financial-crime officials from across the southern Pacific will meet in the Australian city of Brisbane over the next three days, for the Pacific Financial Intelligence Community plenary, hosted by Australia’s financial-crime watchdog. In a statement, the Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre said that the meeting would discuss joint operations, intelligence sharing, capacity-building activities and region-wide technological enhancements.
