South Korean wedding planning agencies advised to revise unfair terms and conditions

The Korea Fair Trade Commission found that terms and conditions by 18 wedding agencies often categorize basic services as extra optional ones, forcing customers to pay additional fees for what should be included. The pricing for these optional services and penalties are also vague and excessive penalties are imposed upon cancellation. The KFTC said that these terms place an undue burden on customers, making it difficult to compare prices across different agencies and ultimately putting in a weaker bargaining position.
