Brasília dialysis patients directed to private clinics, Brazil health chief says in DaVita deal probe

The Brasilia secretariat's statement comes amid CADE’s ongoing review of DaVita’s proposal to acquire 100 percent of Brasnefro’s shares, raising questions about how CADE should segment its market analysis. In response to a query from Brazil’s competition authority, Brasília's Health Secretariat (SES-DF) reported that 81.6 percent of all Unified Health System (SUS)-funded chronic dialysis patients in the Federal District are referred to private clinics for treatment....
