UrthTech told to respond to requests in trade secret case over GOJO patent applications

( November 7, 2024, 10:10 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: A US magistrate has ordered a trade secret misappropriation plaintiff to respond to 244 requests for admission submitted by a defendant, which seek to establish that the information it allegedly disclosed in patent publications was not proprietary.  UrthTech argued that the production is unduly burdensome, but US Magistrate Judge Katharine H. Parker of the US Southern District of New York agreed with GOJO Industries that the RFAs are necessary. The lawsuit stems from an agreement in which UrthTech granted GOJO an exclusive license to UrthTech’s patents related to antimicrobial solutions.
