Unified Patent Court cases concentrated in Germany, report shows

Experts hope that with time, the distribution of cases will even out across the participating European Union member states.The European Union’s Unified Patent Court offers patent protection across the 18 member states that have signed and ratified the Agreement on a Unified Patent Court. Yet in its 17 months of existence, the UPC's divisions in Germany are handling the bulk of all infringement and counterclaim cases. Ultimately, the country’s patent-friendly reputation may be reflected in UPC’s short history....
