Lam Khang to be granted steel duty exemption as EU admits factual error

After verification, the European Commission concluded that incomplete data had been used during an investigation to determine whether Lam Khang qualified for an exemption.Lam Khang, a Vietnamese steel producer, might be granted an exemption from the EU anti-subsidy duties of 20.5 percent on its exports of stainless steel cold-rolled flat products into the bloc, MLex has learned. The data used to determine whether the company was dodging the EU duties on Indonesian steel “was incomplete,” the European Commission concluded in a draft amendment seen by MLex....
